Honey Garlic Chicken with Rice and Veggies

This easy honey garlic chicken dinner is a quick and flavorful weeknight meal, served with rice and your favorite vegetables for a complete dish!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces Chicken Breasts boneless, skinless
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil for cooking
  • 1 tbsp Garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Rice for serving
  • 2 cups Mixed Vegetables steamed or roasted

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, until golden and fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet, and spoon the sauce over it to coat. Let it simmer for another 2 minutes to ensure the chicken absorbs the flavors.
  5. Serve the chicken over cooked rice, and top with steamed or roasted vegetables. Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.
